Are movers expensive?
They don’t have to be. We have an hourly rate depending on the number of men you need. We don’t charge by the size of the truck. The cost will depend on the quantity to be moved, the distance and the number of men you require. We believe in getting the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible for you. Where possible we endeavour to have all your possessions loaded for one move. This will save you time and money.
How long does a move take?
It depends on the amount of items to be moved and other factors. For more information refer to tip for moving page.
What size truck do we need?
We will work that out for you once we know the size house you are shifting from. We have different sized trucks ensuring you receive the right size for your move.
Is it more expensive if we have stairs?
No, we don’t charge extra for stairs. If it is a big move we may recommend taking on an extra man to help the job go quicker.
Can you move pianos?
Yes, all our trucks are fitted with a ramp and are fully carpet lined. Our trucks are equipped with furniture blankets, ties, and hand trolleys with covers, piano trolleys as well as our experienced staff for an efficient damage free move.
Do I need to help?
No, but more hands make light work and a cheaper move. Unusually large items such as spa pools, slate pool tables and grand pianos may require an extra man.

Do we need to dismantle our beds?
Are you covered by insurance?
Yes, we have Limited Carriers Risk Insurance. Which covers your possessions while in transit. Check with your insurance company as your contents insurance will often cover you while you are moving.
How do I pay?
We accept cash or cheques at the completion of the move. Online payments only by prior arrangement.
What if some of my stuff is in storage elsewhere?
That is not a problem we can organise to pick those items up as well.
How many men do I need for the move?
We can advise you on that once we know the size of your move.
I need to move out and have bought a new house but might not get the key till late in the day. How do I book for this?
We can book you in at any time that is convenient for you. In this case we would suggest not starting the move till later in the morning possibly even midday.
How do you charge?
We start charging from the time we leave the depot in most cases this is not more than half an hour. We stop charging when we are ready to depart your drop off address.
Immediately after deciding to move. If you don’t have an exact move date, you can still call around and get estimates. This way you can at least decide which company you want to hire. If you do have a move date, it is very necessary to hire the company immediately once you’ve selected your mover. This guarantees you a spot in their sometimes full schedule. Most of our clients book their moves a week or two in advance (However, we are open to emergency moves being same or next day). The more prepared client will book us a month in advance or longer
There are many factors that determine how long your move takes. Size of home and actual amount of items to be moved are the main factors. High rise buildings, stairs, elevators, apartments with long distances from unit to truck, extreme weather, long distance of travel, etc. are all “negative” factors that increase the time it takes to complete your move. Things that could “positively” affect the length of your move could be making sure you are fully packed on move day, having furniture disassembled before move day, having items closer to the front door in your home, or having items ready in your garage. These are not necessary tasks for customers, but they do allow for faster move
We accept cash and cheque or you can pay using your bank app on your smart phone.
When should I call a moving company?
The earlier, the better. The more lead time you can give, the more likely we will be able to meet your needs.
How long does it take to move?
This depends on many factors, such as the time of year, weather conditions, size of your house, time required to load and unload, and the direction and distance your move is traveling. To get an answer tailored to your move, contact us to request an estimate.
Can I pack my clothes in a chest or dresser drawers?
Sweaters, shirts, blouses, and lingerie may be left in the drawers. Do not fill drawers with heavy items such as books, file folders, linens or sheets.
